Bio

Bruce Kasanoff is an executive coach with a background in ghostwriting. He is the founder of both Bend Reality, a community for people leading lives with no regrets, as well as the Aperture peer support community.

Over half a million entrepreneurs and professionals read his five newsletters, which cover a range of topics including career growth, personal development, and spirituality:

He is driven by a desire to uncover deeper truths, both about the human experience and the broader reality we inhabit—exploring ideas ranging from mysticism and non-duality to intuitive leadership and expansive thinking.

Bruce resists being confined by traditional boundaries, seeking to blend business acumen with spiritual exploration. There’s a rare balance between his grounded, practical side and his belief in the unseen, the magical, or the mystical. Thoughtful in how he communicates—wanting his ideas to resonate and uplift—yet he is not afraid to challenge the status quo or provoke people to think differently.

He helps his clients harness both their business acumen and spiritual insight to create purposeful, growth-driven lives and ventures.

Bruce values genuine, deep relationships over superficial ones and aims to create communities and spaces in which people can engage meaningfully with one another. This focus on authenticity, combined with his interest in testing assumptions and stretching beyond comfort zones, highlights a way of moving through the world that’s both empathetic and visionary.

He blends intellect, spirituality, and creativity; he continually seeks growth while helping others do the same. A thoughtful and dynamic individual, he is comfortable questioning conventional wisdom in pursuit of something more expansive and purposeful.

Bruce is a member of Marshall Goldsmith's 100 Coaches community, which brings together the world’s premier leadership thinkers; Bruce fully embraces its mandate to be of the greatest possible service to others.

  • He has raised or helped raise $20 million for start-up and entrepreneurial ventures.

  • Over a five-year period, he was the “marketing guru” for 250 entrepreneurs through EO’s Birthing of Giants program.

  • He was an original partner of the Peppers and Rogers Group, helping grow that firm from ten to 150 employees in three years.

  • Earlier in his career, Bruce created and managed a new product line, growing revenues from zero to $20 million, also in three years.

  • He was part of the Ogilvy & Mather team in the mid-90s that helped transform the IBM brand from arrogant to approachable.

  • A Wharton MBA, Bruce has taught at Babson College and has been invited to speak at Wharton, Yale, NYU, and Wesleyan.

Approachable and warm, Bruce is just as likely to cross the street to pet a dog as he is to mentor high-level leaders. If you’re seeking a coach who can help you have no regrets at the end of your time, Bruce is here to support you.

TESTIMONIALS

“Bruce asks powerful questions that sometimes stop me in my tracks, making it easier for me to recognize what matters most."

Brandon Rodman, CEO and co-founder, Previ

“Bruce has enriched my life in ways I could not have imagined before our leadership coaching partnership began. He has an uncanny understanding of human nature, business success and persuasive communication—he asks insightful questions and is a brilliant interpretive listener—and he weaves together insights, almost magically, to help me become an even better (and more fulfilled) person at work, at home and in my community. I've seen it all as a leadership coach, and I'm beyond grateful that Bruce is mine.”

Dr. Paul L. Corona, Clinical Professor of Leadership, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University
