At 7 a.m., I boarded a Delta flight out of JFK, headed for Salt Lake City. A few hours later, we were over desolate portions of Colorado and Utah. From 34,000 feet up, you could see how vast expanses of dirt have drifted over fields and even roads.
From the ground, it’s much harder to see these patterns. Just like in daily life, it can be hard to recognize the larger patterns that are occurring. To see them, you need to zoom out and gain perspective.
