Being Human

BEING HUMAN is the best defense against AI, automation, and all the other technology-based threats to your career. Sure, you could choose to be a crack programmer and survive that way, but what if—like me—you lack the skills or interest in coding all day? Far too many professionals have taken to acting like a robot. They rely on (often biased) logic. They avoid original thoughts in favor of uninspired routines. They are terrified of anything that smacks of mindfulness, meditation, or true creativity. Guess what? Those last three things I mentioned are examples of qualities that set you apart from—and perhaps above—computers. To protect your career, you need to be more creative, more original, and more inspired than ever.
